Women of Hope fulfill their mission through:

The Women of Hope are Connected, Invested, and Committed:

Connected to one another and to One Safe Place.

Invested in making a difference.

Committed to awareness, prevention, and intervention.

Connected-Networking and Building Friendships

Women of Hope was created in order to make a difference. First and foremost, we want Women of Hope to be an engaging, no pressure way to give back to our community and to meet other like-minded generous women. Throughout the year, there will be several opportunities for social gatherings–like the annual Women of Hope Founder’s Luncheon –where members can network, build relationships and bring greater awareness of impact of domestic violence. Members also will stay connected through a periodic newsletter and Facebook page.

Invested-Service

While not required, interested Women of Hope are also invited to participate in direct service activities at One Safe Place.

Members are invited to participate in:

  • Volunteer Service Opportunities
  • Awareness and Advocacy Campaigns
  • Annual Fundraising Efforts
  • Exclusive Member Events
  • Committed-Issue Awareness & Advocacy

Women of Hope is about understanding the issues behind domestic violence. By connecting through social media, newsletters and at gatherings, Women of Hope are made aware of things they can do to spread the word about prevention and intervention around domestic violence. It might be as simple as sharing a link on your Facebook page, or re-tweeting an important update from One Safe Place.

Membership

Each Woman of Hope makes a gift of at least $1,200 for their membership dues either paid annually or monthly. The funds are directed to One Safe Place to further our mission. While additional gifts in support of special events or other activities are certainly welcome, they are not required for membership in Women of Hope. Become a member of Women of Hope now.
