Domestic Violence Assistance | FW/Tarrant | OneSafePlace

Standing up for the safety of yourself or a loved one is a brave thing to do, and we welcome you to OneSafePlace, an umbrella network of resources for domestic violence victims, all under one roof.

Family violence and family abuse have no place in Fort Worth, and while domestic abuse is a nationwide issue, our city and those like it (Haltom City, Dunbar, and Burleson) have committed to ending it. Our neighborhoods can be safer places if we work together, one family at a time.

OneSafePlace’s family justice center provides a one-stop-shop for researching and putting in place resources to assist you and/or your family in the search for personal safety and financial security. We look forward to assisting you in any way we can.

OneSafePlace is committed to providing a straightforward series of solutions for victims of domestic violence in Fort Worth:

1. CALL US OR COME INTO THE OFFICE

During COVID-19, we ask that (if possible) you call first.

You may be in a situation where it’s easier to call us than to visit our office in person; however, we realize every situation is different, and a visit to a physical office might be less conspicuous than the alternative. Whichever option you choose, we’re ready to receive you.

Our phone number is 817-916-4323 and our office is located at 1100 Hemphill St. in Fort Worth’s Historic Southside District, next door to popular eateries like Heim BBQ and Paris Coffee Shop. We’re very close to downtown Fort Worth, not to mention the hospital district, TCU, and West 7th Street. We also have a satellite office in Grapevine.

No appointments necessary! Walk-ins acceptable from 8am to 5pm, and later following the lifting of COVID restrictions.

2. DISCUSSING YOUR SITUATION

We’ve discussed many different types of cases with affected parties, and our licensed professionals are well experienced when it comes to extracting victims from dangerous situations, or counseling families on a track away from domestic abuse.

Whether you call or physically walk into our offices, we’ll use our tried and true methods to get a full picture of your family abuse concerns, and ensure that as soon as the moment you leave or hang up, you’re already in a better place to move forward.

No matter what your domestic violence situation may be, we are here to help you.

3. IMMEDIATE SOLUTIONS

We realize that family abuse can develop rapidly and without warning, which is why we develop both long and short term solutions to your case. Even one day can make all the difference in an ever changing situation, especially if you feel your situation could get worse.

Wherever you’re located in Tarrant County, we’ll make sure you’re connected to local law enforcement departments across Fort Worth, Richland Hills, Lake Worth, Granbury, Stop 6, and elsewhere.

Moreover, whatever your short term needs may be, we’ll work to put a temporary fix on the problem, from childcare to healthcare, as well as food support and counseling services.

4. FUTURE SOLUTIONS

While short term solutions may help you remove yourself from a violent situation, or provide the support you need to stabilize an abusive presence, the short term fix may not last or resources may run out. As a result, OneSafePlace combines longer term considerations with those in the short term to provide a whole response to a Tarrant County domestic violence circumstance.

From legal support to job skills support, long term solutions with OneSafePlace are laser focused and actionable methods you can use to make a new life for yourself or loved ones.
