Resources for Domestic Abuse | Fort Worth, TX | OneSafePlace
OneSafePlace is an umbrella office of resources from across the state of Texas, designed to help lift men, women, and children out of domestic abuse situations. We’ve helped thousands of victims over our 15 year history, and our process is straightforward and geared toward successful outcomes for victims.
Family abuse has no place in Tarrant County, and while it’s a global concern, Fort Worth has taken specific focus on eradicating domestic violence. Whether in Lake Worth, Burleson, or Haltom City, we reach every corner of the city and want to help.
OneSafePlace is located in the heart of Fort Worth, providing a one-stop location where agencies from local departments can work together to bring justice to families across North Texas, as designed by many areas of the Department of Justice.
Family Abuse Resources | Near Southside Fort Worth
OneSafePlace has a well tested and successful approach to new domestic violence situations, and we help victims across the city every day. If you’re seeking resources to combat domestic violence, call or visit our offices and we’ll work together as follows.
1. PICK UP THE PHONE OR STOP BY THE OFFICE
During COVID-19, we ask that (if possible) you call first.
Some domestic abuse situations may make it easier for one to call our offices, while others may leave opening for physical visitation. Whichever your situation may be, we’re here to receive you and discuss your case.
Our phone number is 817-916-4323 and our office is located at 1100 Hemphill St. in Fort Worth’s Southside District, near the Paris Cafe. In addition to a satellite office in Grapevine, we provide ease of physical access to neighbors near and far, all across Tarrant county.
While COVID has restricted our ability to receive physical walk-ins, they are allowed and we’ll be able to help whether in person or over the phone.
2. TALKING ABOUT THE SITUATION
Our professionals have communicated with many victims of family abuse, and we’re more than able to diagnose and dissect your scenario, in our effort to produce the best steps for your satisfaction.
Even as soon as you hang up, or leave our offices for the first time, and return to life in Ft. Worth, we hope you’ll already have a better handle on your family’s circumstances. No matter what your domestic violence situation may be, we are here to help you.
3. THE NEAR FUTURE
Every day that goes by in a case of domestic violence can make all the difference, and in realizing that fact, we strive to slow the regression of family safety that can result. Immediately after we discuss your scenario, you’ll have a list of actionable short term solutions that we can provide.
Wherever in Fort Worth you live, we’ll make sure you’re connected to local law enforcement departments across the city, as well as those in Benbrook, White Settlement, Arlington, and Richland Hills. For less severe cases, we’ll provide other short term support via childcare, healthcare, and food stability.
4. THE DISTANT FUTURE
Since short term solutions tend to exhaust supplies and may only provide a band-aid to a given situation, OneSafePlace strives to produce long term, permanent solutions to our clients. For victims who would like to seek legal help, we can arrange advisement with an attorney. For those who would like to separate from an abuser and be financially independent, we’re able to provide job skills support. And much more!
